As a young bride I had three babies in three years and it absolutely destroyed my waistline.
I know that sounds awful, and I love my kids more than anything...but the extra weight around my middle stayed with me for decades after they were born.
I tried working out a lot at the gym and I stopped eating the yummy foods I liked best because they were "not on my diet". I tried so many different ways to lose weight...but none of them helped me get rid of my soft tubby body.
Of course the combined stress of being mom, wife, and career woman did not help. Just complicated everything ... my attempts to diet, exercise, regain my old self ... eventually, even the intimacy with my husband was affected.
